PASCALE MORAND - Explanations in English

The exhibition "The meaning of Life"  is composed of two distinct collections by the same person, artist and designer Pascale Morand, who is also an entrepreneur and a corporate social responsibility consultant

Her creations are the fruit of an esthetic research which is both epicurean (the joy experienced when contemplating beautiful things) and a Platonic (an esthetic experience perceived as mystical) in nature.

Everything Pascale endeavors to do is inspired by this search for what is beautiful and deep, from her highly graphic cards to the clean lines and pleasant colors of the accessories she has designed for business women.  A sense of peace and well-being is inherent in every object created.   For Pascale, the beauty found in the creation of artistic products is also a means of diffusing the stress accumulated in our humdrum, superficial and busy lives.

She uses totally different techniques in each of the collections presented :

v on the one hand, collages created from exotic materials, special papers, hand-made embroideries, metallic powders and jewels, which enhance harmonious forms intended to inspire deep peace;

v  on the other hand, paintings originally made by Pascale to decorate porcelain china transformed by digital technology into light drenched works of surprising beauty and depth. This truly personal style gives us a glimpse of her joy in life and of her inner peace and beauty.

A DVD, created by Objectif Réussir, will soon make its way to the website: http://www.objectifreussir.ch as well as the  Galerie Quint-Essences site: http://www.galerie-quint-esences.ch.
