IRENE ABRIGO, membre du Trio Aphrodite de Lausanne

Born in Turin in 1988, Irene began playing the violin at the age of 4 in Aosta with the Japanese Suzuki method. After obtaining her Diploma at 19, under the guidance of Fabrizio Pavone, she completed the Master of Interpretation at the Haute École de Musique in Geneva and is currently attending a Post Graduate course with the direction of Pierre Amoyal at the University “Mozarteum” in Salzburg. Winner of numerous international awards (First Prize at the International Competition of Varazze, finalist at Vittorio Veneto Competition in 2006 and Special Prize 2013 in the Respighi Competition, New York), and scholarships (2009 CRT Master dei Talenti Musicali, 2009 and 2010 CRT Master dei Talenti Orchestrali, 2013 Butticaz Foundation), Irene worked as principal second violin and co-principal first violin in the Orchestra Filarmonica di Torino, with whom she also performed as a soloist. Concertmaster of the Orchestra Sinfonica di Rivoli since 2012, she's a member of the Swiss ensembles Camerata de Lausanne, directed by Pierre Amoyal, CHAARTS Chamber Artists and Art En Ciel.

Believing in the social and communicative responsibility of art and an enthusiastic fan of Niccolò Paganini, Irene recorded the 24 Caprices Op.1 for a personal multimedia project, to support environmental issues and cruelty-free scientific research.
