UN petit  CV / A short RESUME

Originaire du Pérou, César Carrasco habite depuis quelques années à Neuchâtel.

César est artiste dans l’âme, et cela depuis sa jeunesse. Au début il étudie le piano, puis il commence à jouer de la guitare. Il écrit des chansons et chante. Un parolier accompli, il a également une voix séduisante et il est en train d'essayer de trouver un studio d'enregistrement pour faire un CD de ses chansons.

Plus tard, il s’est tourné vers les arts visuels, peignant presque exclusivement à l’huile.  L’artiste qui l’a le plus inspiré, c'est Van Gogh. Ses œuvres sont fortes, les couleurs saturées et parfois suggestives des journées pleines de soleil de son pays natal. Il est petit à petit devenu allergique aux produits de nettoyage des peintures à l’huile, alors il s’est lancé aux crayons d'huile où il peut s'en servir sans pinceaux, avec ses doigts seuls.

ll y a trois ans il a commencé à jouer avec de l’argile et parfois à la pâte à modeler. Il garde ses petites statuettes pour lui… quelque part, elles sont sa manière de s'interroger sur ce que la vie lui a apporté, de bon et de mauvais.  César travaille à plein temps actuellement chez Objectif Réussir à la Gare de Bevaix en tant que journaliste.  Il fait également  la mise en page du journal. Ses articles ont souvent une vision perçante du monde qui l'entoure et de son pays adoptif.

Originally from Peru, César Carrasco has been living in Neuchâtel for several years.

César has an artist's soul, from childhood to the present. He began by studying the piano, then the guitar. He is a writer-producer of his own works: an accomplished song writer, his voice matches the beauty of his words. He is presently trying to find a sound studio to record a CD of his songs.

After music, César turned toward the visual arts. He paints exclusively in oils and it is clear that the artist who most inspired his own works is Van Gogh.

His paintings are strong, with saturated colors, often directly from the tube, and remind the viewer of his native country in their sunny warmth. Unfortunately, he has, little by little become allergic to the chemical products used in cleaning his brushes. For this reason he has turned to oil crayons which he can treat using his fingers alone.

Three years ago he started playing with clay and air-drying modeling clay.  He is a bit of a scrooge concerning his little sculptures, refusing to let them go or even exhibit them (very rarely). They represent his way of asking the basic questions concerning life and what it has brought him, for good or bad.

César is presently working full time at Objectif Réussir in the Bevaix train station as a reporter for the Street Newspaper published by this association. Bit bz bit, he is also taking over the layout of the paper.  His articles are often very piercing in their perception of the world around him and his adopted country.
